Competitive dental fees
Pointe-Claire Dental is committed to offer you fair and competitive prices. For most dental treatments, we follow the fee guide provided by l’Association des chirurgiens dentistes du Québec (ACDQ).
Tax credits for dental expenses
Most dental expenses, including dental work not paid by your insurance plan, can be submitted as medical expense deductions when filing your income tax returns. For all the details you can consult the following websites Canada Revenue Agency or Revenue Quebec.
Financing for your dental treatments
We partner with “iFinance - Dentalcard Program” to offer you a simple financing alternative to help you plan financially the treatments you need, if you require it. You can finance total or partial amounts starting at $600.
Our dental secretaries can provide you with all the information and forms required for the application.
Methods of payment
For your convenience, we accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and all interact debit cards. We do not accept personal checks. The totality of the fees corresponding to the dental treatments should be paid at the end of each visit.
Insurance
We will submit your claim electronically directly to your insurance so you do not have to worry about paperwork! You will be reimbursed for the portion of fees covered by your plan, usually between 1 and 3 business days, if you are registered for the direct deposit option otherwise you will receive a check on the mail 2-3 weeks later. Please consult your insurance carrier for details on this subject.
At Pointe-Claire dental we accept the majority of dental insurances. Your coverage may vary depending on the agreement between your insurance and your employer and each insurance policy has its particularities and exceptions.
You should inform yourself about the terms and conditions of your policy. Our team will be happy to assist you in understanding your coverage however, in some cases we may be limited ourselves in the information we can access.
If you would like to get confirmation on the coverage for your treatment plan will be happy to submit an estimate to your insurance company. For some treatments the answer is immediate whereas for some major treatments such as crowns, implants or bridges, your insurance may take about 3 weeks to send you a written answer.

Members of the ASEQ network have access to preferential rates on dental care, applicable to preventive services, basic services and major restorations.

Services for children under 10 covered by the RAMQ
Children under 10 with a valid Quebec Health Insurance Card are covered for certain services including a Dental exam and x-rays once every 12 months.
The fees for dental cleaning (prophylaxis), scaling, fluoride application and sealants are not covered by the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec.

Cancellation policy
Appointments are time slots in our daily agenda reserved exclusively for you, and our team of professionals prepares in advance to receive you. This means we are ordering the materials required and reserving time with our doctor and assistant or hygienist, as well as the operatory space. We will be sterilizing and preparing the room as well as all the equipment and materials required for your procedure.
Missed appointments and short-notice cancellations result in unproductive time for the clinic and prevent us from scheduling another patient within a reasonable time.
We do understand that unexpected events or emergencies may come up therefore request that if you have a conflict and are unable to attend the scheduled appointment you provide us with at least 2 working days’ notice. Failure to do so may result in administrative fees.
