How do SPARK clear aligners work?
Each new aligner set progressively induces your teeth to the next movement phase towards the final intended alignment goal.
In some cases, when more complex movements are required, aligners alone are not enough to move the tooth into the ideal position. In those cases, special attachments may be needed.
These are small tooth-colored shapes that are placed at specific locations to allow the aligners to grip the teeth as they are guiding them to their new locations.

How it works?
- You’ll take photos of your smile from anywhere using the ScanBox (at the frequency the doctor recommends) and send them in through the app.
- The dentist will receive your photos to review your treatment and ensure it’s on track.
- We will will send communication and guidance on your treatment via the app so you know when you have to change your aligners.
- We will advise you if you need an appointment at the office when it’s best for your treatment.

In-office Consultation
During your consultation or dental exam, the dentist will discuss with you about your objectives, explain you how Spark™ works and confirm if you are an appropriate candidate for this type of treatment

Orthodontic Exam
If you are eligible and opt for Spark™ clear aligners at Pointe Claire dental, you should get a complete orthodontic evaluation. Your treatment plan will be prepared based on the information collected.

Your aligners are fabricated
The series of customized transparent aligners will be created at a specialized lab using digitized images and the impressions of your mouth within a computer assisted program.

Aligners delivery
You will have an appointment at our dental clinic in Pointe-Claire to install any necessary attachments based on your treatment plan and receive your aligners and ensure they fit properly.

Remote monitoring set up
Your remote monitoring devices will be provided and one of our team members will explain you how it works so you can start scanning your teeth weekly!

Caring for your SPARK clear aligners
In addition to maintaining good oral hygiene habits of brushing twice daily and flossing at least once a day to keep your teeth healthy and free of cavities and gum disease, following are tips to keep your SPARK aligners in great condition:
- rinse them thoroughly under warm running water every time you take them out of your mouth
- at a minimum, rinse them every night and brush them gently with a toothbrush – do not use toothpaste. Instead you can use retainer cleansing tabs such as polident or other brands
- always remove your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than water to prevent stains and damage
- when not in use, keep your aligners in their provided case to protect them from damage and loss.
